[Adoptacomposter] meeting

Went there today to check on my compost. Worms are happy. Everything
is cool. Although I left it in the plastic bag, it was a tiny bit too
dry.
As Rudi recommended, I added regular soil to my compost to give it
some substance.
It is not too cold for the worms yet. They just don't like frost.
That will kill them. That's why open air composts are usually much
bigger than ours. The frost gests into the soil/ ground about 80 cm
deep.
I just saw a show on TV, where they recommended to cladd composting
bins in winter with styrofoam (since they are never 80 cm in
diameter). Maybe that might be an option for our miniature composts...
One other thing: the compost crate next to mine is missing (3rd on
the left from bottom) ???
best,
Susi
