dear Shu Lea,
thanks for your suggestions!
my neighbors Gaby and Peter wrote their name on one of the open bins,
and have already been several times to feed the worms. don't know if
they already registered online...
I sent Gaby the weblinks. here is her email: <a
over this past week, we sign up all together 11 adoptors.
I am very happy how the adoptors all have specific/broader
interest
in the bio-topics.

just a few update

sarah mentioned Terra Preta ...
we do have ayumi who is also adopting (but is now in beijing
making
composting workshops!!!)
specialize in Terra Preta composting. I am sure when she's back
from
beijing (should be early september)
she can follow up on this thread.

As to Alex concerned about worms getting drowned.
yes, indeed an issue..
with this crate/composter design, i was hoping that the liquid
(the
tea of compost)
would go through from top to bottom one...indeed, here is the
'OUR'
composter concept.
we all share some juic e of others... going down to the bottom one
and to the soil itself.

but yes, it could become too much moist...
i think a sort of filter (by cloth, cotton materials that absorbe
waters) may work.
I want to show this video from paris composter veggie waste
collection and composter making.
we were giving paris city trash bins, which we modify to include a
filter/water pipe system
for the liquid to come out...

the composter now sits at my terrace. and i was able to use
this liquid to water (need to dillute, like add 10 times of water
when you get compost liquid as
they can be too strong for your plants) my advocado trees which
was
from rice&bean restuaant
(they made a lot of guachemoli!!).... the advocado plants at the
terrance (10+) are growing
rapidly. so yes, maybe other than filter out.. you can also
imagine
have aliquid collection system??

in the meantime, i want to also ask you to UPLOAD your texts and
images the mini-blog of your
food, composting.. I kept still one crate of my posting... where
you
can see soem example.
but surely images and texts can go beyond just about food+compost.
This is our public interface.. so it will be great that we can put
some content to it?
( i am on the top right green flower one)

now, lastly, it would be great to sign up ONE last adoptor.
if you do know anyone who could be interested....

hope the doodle works out for an all out gathering..
otherwise, i trust you will all connect in various ways..

use this mailing list, to inform and exchange.. paths will cross.

good sunday
