whoa - I just emptied a full stinking tray of liquid and drowning
worms from the bottom of my bin at home today and think it would be a
GREAT idea to all meet and maybe take a quick look at the construction
of our worm tower. My "suite" is on the bottom left (so
Tilia can reach it too) and I'm wondering about how to prevent all the
castings and juice from the rest of the apartment from drowning out my
adopted worms - yikes!

maybe we can set up a worm-date to really get the boxes going, take
the bags out, share bedding, talk about food (preparation), and if
necessary make some adjustments/improvements to the construction...
Since we're all probably super busy, I've started a doodle to avoid a
string of mails about dates:
Just to forward some interesting projects related to food and data.
I am a theorist and writer, so interested to make a writing project
about the urban metabolism related to writing and processing writing,
relation to food, processing food as data,
happy to meet up once every week or two weeks, perhaps during the trip
to drop the compost off? Would be interested to know
what other people are trying to make from this project, besides the
compost! skatherine
As of now until August 31 you can register for the Open Data Cooking
Workshop in Helsinki that prozessagenten are organising with
Pixelache. The workshop takes place on September 15 - 16 and is an
experimental research on the representation of data with culinary
means. The workshop explores ways to represent local data through the
inherent qualities of food such as colour, form, texture, smell,
taste, nutrition, origin etc. It offers to its participants the
opportunity to translate data in concrete, sensually experienceable
matter, from the language of numbers into the language of food, and
thus to gain unexpected insights into both media and learn about their
inner constructions and relations. Find more about the workshop and
open call here http://www.pixelache.ac/helsinki/open-data-cooking-workshop/

If you would like to participate, simply send a short email to opendatacooking@pixelache.ac that tells us a bit about your
motivation and background. Experience in working with data is welcome,
but not required. Actually we would like to explicitly encourage
people with an interest in cooking to participate.

I think the container system that we have

- to protect from pests (mostly flies, but also rats, mice and

Since I have some experience with worms and have not yet seen a worm

I was planning on laying the sides with cloth and then layers of
