andrea,

it goes faster, if the things are cut into smaller pieces. anyhow i didn't do any cutting and so far my worms are happy.
most important: the compost needs to be perfectrly moist, not too wet and not too hot ( not past 20 degees celsius). so the more substance there is the better. rudi, our comost adviser, recommended to add some soil in there, so the worms have a bit more substance.

for the ones, who have opened up their bags: shu lea had asked me to take the lid/ roof off, so rain can get in. unfortunately the roof is screwed onto the rack. until this is solved you need to do your own moisturising.

        Hi All,
i have been off for a while and was wondering if I missed our meetings?

Iam actually not sure if I make my part in the right way - do I need to pre-kompost (like cutting things into smaller pieces, smash eggshells and the like)?
could someone give me a hint on this aspects? so far i just poured the things into the bag but not 100% sure if that is ok this way?

hopefully soon am up with the images as well.

        have a nice weekend!
        Andrea

          dear all

finally a confirmation with gaby and we now have listed 12.

          http://www.compostingthecity.mobi/berlin/images/12composter-names.jpg

I have asked Suzi to mark all names correctly on the name tag (adopt
          a composter postcard)
          with white marker.

You can also see all position of your composter on actual and virtual
          should be in sync.
(we are missing two avatars from ayumi and claudia)

          Ok, more tips
yesyes, please keep your diary.documents on the blog
please use log on to upload texts and images.

          Couple more tips.
          (1) please try to work with 600(w)x300(h) ratio of your pix.
as it is the same size of the actual composter... so it wont get distorted.
          crop the picture if necessary.
the site can resize, but cannot adjust ratio.

          (2) note that each of your upload has a [x] mark followed
click on ]x], you can delete an upload
          (sometimes you may want to)

          (3) for avatar, you can always keep changing by uploading a new one.

Now that we have 12 .. let's get the dialogue going also.
i will check if ayumi is back in town.

also please agree and remember, our website(blog) and mailing list
are all on public view... (also via resource publicity)... this is encouraging
for us , composting as ' public performance'

          very soon
          sl
